Madonna Louise Ritchie

Madonna | career center

Madonna | job opportunityMadonna is known for her Job works that explore religious symbolism and sexual themes which also drew criticism from the Vatican in the late 1980s. In 1992, she founded an entertainment company, Maverick, which published a book of photographs (Sex), (Erotica) and starred in a film (Body of Evidence) with erotic themes. These works generated negative publicity and coincided with a fall in commercial sales in the 1990s. Madonna's career was revived in 1998, when the release of her album Ray of Light garnered critical acclaim.

Madonna was born Madonna Louise Ciccone in Bay City, Michigan. Her mother, Madonna Louise , was of French Canadian descent, and her father, Silvio "Tony" P. Ciccone, was a first-generation Italian American Chrysler/General Motors design engineer. Madonna is the third of six children.

Madonna was raised in the Detroit suburbs of Pontiac, Michigan and Avon Township. Her mother died of breast cancer at age 30 on December 1, 1963. Her father married the family housekeeper, Joan Gustafson, and they had two children. "I didn't accept my stepmother when I was growing up," Madonna said, "in retrospect I think I was really hard on her." She attended Rochester Adams High School, becoming a straight-A student and a member of the cheerleading squad.Madonna \ employer job posting

Madonna received a dance scholarship to the University of Michigan after graduating from high school. Madonna's ballet teacher persuaded her to pursue a dance career, so she left the University of Michigan at the end of 1977 and moved to New York City.

Madonna has been regarded as "one of the greatest pop acts of all time" and dubbed the "Queen of Pop" by various sources. She is ranked by the Recording Industry Association of America as the best-selling female rock artist of the twentieth century and the second top-selling female artist in the United States with 63 million certified albums.Guinness World Records list her as the world's most successful female recording artist of all time and the top-earning female singer in the world with an estimated net worth of US$490 million, having sold over 200 million records worldwide. On March 10, 2008, she was inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame.

The extremely controversial book - Madonna (Warner Books)

“Sex is a highly-designed coffee table book written by Madonna with photographs by Steven Meisel Studio and film frames shot by Fabien Baron, released October 21, 1992 by Warner Books. The book was released by Madonna as an accompaniment to her fifth studio album Erotica, which was released a day earlier (October 20, 1992). The extremely controversial book featured strong adult content and softcore pornographic photographs depicting simulations of sexual acts, which included lesbianism, male homosexuality, sadomasochism, anilingus, and rape. Madonna wrote all of the erotica in the book as a character named Mistress Dita, inspired by the silent film actress Dita Parlo.
Featured in the book, aside from unknown faces, are model Naomi Campbell, actress Isabella Rossellini, rappers Big Daddy Kane and Vanilla Ice, gay porn star Joey Stefano, actor Udo Kier, the European socialite Tatiana von Furstenberg, and nightclub owner Ingrid Casares. For the release Madonna gave a party at New York City's Industria Superstudio, for which she attended dressed as Little Bo Peep with a stuffed toy lamb.
Aside from Steven Meisel himself, photographers from his studio were also employed. The book credits Michael Stratton, Darren Lew, Line Barzudkas, Stephen Callaghan, and Chris Hobson. Fabien Baron, one of the book's designers, also shot many of the photo sessions on film (mostly on Super 8 mm), with many film frames taken from this footage being used in the book.”

Geri Halliwell - Sunbather On Holiday

Geri Halliwell gasps in shock then bursts into embarrassed giggles as a porkie sunbather shows her something she doesn't really, really wanna see.

The man proudly let it all hang out as he stood unconcerned on a crowded beach while the former Ginger Spice and a group of pals strolled past.

An onlooker said: "Geri got a real shock - she was just walking along when she saw this stark naked man."

Geri, 37, flaunted her own much more toned figure on the trip to Monaco with boyfriend Henry Beckwith, 30, and daughter Bluebell, three. But she's unlikely to forget her rather too spicy encounter.

Pictures of Britney

The fact that people look a bit sweaty and rough after exercising is not news, we're well aware of this, but we thought these pictures of Britney were worthy of a bitchy glance.

Clearly deciding its better to pre-empt the nastiest thing people can say about her by going out with it printed on her chest, Britney opted for this tasteful "Dick" t-shirt (that's Richard Nixon - he was big in America, probably used to be in the Backstreet Boys or something) and some mismatched trackie bottoms for her gym session. Oh, and her ever troublesome hair extensions weren't giving her much love either.

Once again we're thankful that we don't get photographed leaving the gym which, by the way, isn't because we're not famous - it's just that we never go to the gym.

Kerry Katona to pen 'warts and all' biography

Kerry Katona (Pic:Neil Atkinson/SM)

Her nearest and dearest have dished the dirt on her – so now Kerry Katona is getting in on the act, too.

The cash-strapped celeb is poised to pen an explosive “warts and all” autobiography in an attempt to keep the roof over her head (and pay for her next kebab, of course).

Kerry’s book would detail her cocaine abuse, how she blew millions on a drug and drink-fuelled lifestyle and her turbulent relationship with husband Mark Croft.

We hear that several publishers have shown an interest – one is said to be offering a £375,000 advance. And skint Kerry is hardly in a position to refuse.

A source close to the troubled mum-of-four tells us: “Kerry knows she is close to having to sign on the dole and possibly losing her house. She has lost so much of her income in recent months. The days of living to excess are well and truly over.

“She knows the only thing people will pay for now is to see her car-crash life in print.

“Publishers are eager to get her to sign on the condition she lifts the lid on her recent troubles, truthfully.”

Kerry, who turns 29 on Sunday, is no stranger to spilling the beans in books. In October 2006 her first autobiography, Too Much, Too Young, about her difficult childhood was a best-seller. She then had a go at writing novels. Although after Tough Love failed to fly off the shelves, plans for a second were scrapped.

Until two years ago, Kerry made £2million a year from various deals. But having recently lost a couple of contracts, she needs to come up with a money-spinning plan, fast.

Her deal to film reality shows with MTV ended, then she got the cold shoulder from frozen food chain Iceland after footage of her snorting a white powder emerged a fortnight ago.

The Iceland deal was worth £250,000 a year – plus £50 a week in grocery vouchers.

Former Atomic Kitten star Kerry certainly won’t be short of juicy material for any new book.

Last week she was arrested for allegedly assaulting her accountant David McHugh.

And her stormy marriage with Mark, 39, is said to be in trouble again over her desire to re-hire forensic accountant Frank Cochran.

In March, Cochran found that millions of pounds of her money had gone missing. He quit after angry clashes with Croft.

Mr Cochran said: “Kerry’s prediction that she will lose her home and have to claim benefits is an accurate one.

“She has no income and no real prospect of securing one unless she sorts her life out and rebuilds her reputation.”

Now that really would be a happy ending.

Michael Jackson’s fatal heart

Michael Jackson (Pic:AP)

Michael Jackson’s fatal heart attack was kept secret for three hours in a bid to cover-up the real cause of his death, it was claimed yesterday.

It is also believed the King of Pop’s dead body was then moved to his bedroom so police would think he killed himself with a fatal dose of the drug Propofol.

The coroner has ruled Jackson was a victim of homicide after the strong sedative caused his cardiac arrest.

And police are investigating whether his private doctor Conrad Murray is to blame for the death.

Dr Steven Hoefflin, a friend of the singer, revealed the latest twist after speaking to medics involved in Jackson’s case.

He confirmed: “They say he had lividity, which means his blood had already sunk to the back of his body.

“This indicates Michael’s heart had stopped hours earlier.”

Experts at the coroner’s office also reportedly believe Jackson was moved after his heart attack as they discovered disruptions in the pattern of “livor mortis” on his body.

Purple marks show where blood has settled in a lifeless body, which usually takes at least five hours to become apparent. Forensic pathologist Dr Cyril Wecht, not involved in the Jackson case, said: “If someone carried the body from one room to another, the livor would be ‘broken’ where contact with the body was made.

“If one person held his ankles and the other held him under his arms, there would be corresponding white interruptions of livor mortis in those spots.”

Retired FBI special agent Ted Gunderson, who has independently monitored the case, said the new evidence pointed to a “massive cover-up” by Murray.

He asked: “Did Murray try to fool people into thinking Jackson died on the way to hospital in the hope an autopsy could be avoided? If so, it didn’t work, which is why he had to confess to administering Propofol.” Murray, 56, denies mistreating Jackson.

He admitted dosing him with the anaesthetic to help him sleep but has said he did nothing wrong.

Sources said his legal team fear he is being made the scapegoat and insist Jackson himself was responsible for the drugs in his body.

It is thought Murray will claim that Jackson killed himself with an accidental overdose by tampering with the machine controlling his drip, which was set to 25milligrams.
